You can often find her inside the bookstore, looking at the new titles shelf. She quietly cries whenever she finds the perfect book or the book she was looking for ever since.

She is that person who wants to wait inside the coffee shop and just read. She is lost on the make-believe world the author has written for her. Sit down next to her, then she might give you this weird look because she never wants to be interrupted. Ask her about the book, whether if she liked it or not.

Buy her a cup of coffee.

She is that someone who enjoys a long bus ride but doesn’t mind the jittery ride and just continues to read, unmindful of all the guys that want to talk to her. Don’t disturb her now, you might be ignored by her forever.

Get her books for her birthday, for New Year’s or even Valentine’s as well. She will never be able to complain. Don’t forget about the books she listed on her wish list for Christmas. Her life resembles on her favorite book. It’s probably the only thing that she understands.

Disappoint her, because a girl who reads knows that the ointment to disappointment are books. You don’t need to always be there for her. Giving her a book will remind her of your presence. Don’t be something that you are not, to her. She knows well that people are like characters. It takes them time to grow. If you find a girl who reads, keep her away from society, for she is a prized catch.

1 year pinag-ipunan ng mama ko yun. Take note! 1 year! 17 years old pa lang ako, tinatanong na ako kung ano gusto ko. 

Ang unang choice ko e yung birthday party (yung may 18roses and all). June pa lang, pinapalista na sakin yung mga guests ko, kung sino yung 18ganto, 18 ganyan. So may naisip na din ako kung sino sino ang mga yun. Pinapili na din ako kung saang venue and yung mga iba pang important matters.

But then, mga october or november ata.. I prefer to take the laptop. Since mas praktikal kasi magagamit ko sya for a longer time and useful indeed. So we have the final decision to buy me a laptop and totally forget about the party matters.

Then, then, I told my mom that on my birthday I’ll invite my band mates and some close friends. Tugtugan, jamming, simple as that. So my mom agreed.

Nakakahiya naman kung magpupunta sila sa isang debut party, kumpleto ang gamit, tapos walang pakain. So sabi ni mama, maghahanda daw siya. Then, ang dami niya palang inimbita! Nagulat na lang ako. She spent a lot of money then, tas yung iba pa daw na sinabi niyang gastusin niya, and all, at yun… naubos ang aking pang-laptop!

Naisip ko din nun na kung ganun din pala ang nangyari, sana pinili ko na lang yung birthday party na una kong pinili, mas maganda pa sana at naging memorable yung debut ko, naimbita ko pa sana yung iba. Naisip ko din na, kayang kaya ko naman bumili ng laptop or iba pang bagay sa iba pang panahon, bakit kung kelan sa 18th birthday ko pa which is far most important? Hindi ko na maibabalik pa yung araw na naging 18 ako. Ofcourse, that event is the most waited for most of the girls.

Pero, ibang saya pa rin yung naramdaman ko nung debut ko unlike my other birthdays. Im with my family and my friends. And someone exerted a lot of effort on that day. Ofcourse, I won’t forget that. :)

My prof is wandering somewhere in Cebu leaving us behind. And when he’s back, he’ll only teach for about 1-2 hours which is supposed to be something like 6 to 7 hours. Well? What the hell I’m quetching? No. I enjoy my vacation. I feel like I don’t have summer classes at all. I’m not studying nor bother to hit my books and read our lectures. It’s totally different from last sem where I’m so “losyang” to burn the midnight candle. Why is it that when I’m drowning myself to studies, I cried for stress free days and when, here, enjoying my stress free days, I’m missing the habit of studying? 

I must savor this privilege. Few days from now, June will come… the month when my last school year starts.

Ilang buwan na ding nakalipas bago ko to mapansin. Hindi ito joke. Hindi ko din to inedit. At walang tao sa upuan kundi kaming dalawa lang. Hindi pwedeng magspread yung kamay ko ng ganyan dahil nakahawak ako sa cellphone. At kung mapapansin niyo, na parang nakalongsleeve na puti pa yung kamay.

Hindi ko alam kung sino yan, kung ano yan. Sana wag lang yung babaeng yun.. yung babaeng nakaputi na nakita ko dati nung alas dos ng madaling araw…

Gusto mo mang humingi ng tulong, pero maiintindihan ba nila? Gusto mo mang hanapin ang solusyon, pero nabubulag ka at hindi mo makita.

Wala kang magawa kundi sarilinin na lang.
